Beattie out to end goal drought
Beattie joined the Seasiders in January on a loan deal which is set to run until the end of the season. He has plenty of prior experience of life in the English top flight, having previously turned out for Blackburn, Southampton, Everton and Stoke. Beattie has failed to find the target since October 2009, though, with a switch to Rangers last summer failing to reignite his faltering career. The 32-year-old is convinced he has goals in him, though, and believes he is more than capable of helping Ian Holloway's side steer clear of trouble. "I'm delighted to be at Blackpool and to be back in the Premier League," said Beattie. "I haven't really played as much football lately as I'd have liked, but I've kept myself in good shape. "I just want to go out and show the lads what I'm capable of and chip in with some goals and that will keep us in this division."
