FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) Bayern Munich will kick off its Bundesliga title defense at home to Wolfsburg on Aug. 22.

Bayern's opening match pits Pep Guardiola's team against the 2009 champion, last season's fifth-place finisher.

The German Football League said on Tuesday that runner-up Borussia Dortmund will host Bayer Leverkusen in the first round.

Cologne, returning to the topflight after a two-year absence, starts with a home match against Hamburger SV, which narrowly escaped relegation last season.
