Tottenham Hotspur defender Sebastian Bassong is confident that Spurs will finish the Premier League season in the top-four.

Spurs are currently in pole-position to secure the final Champions League spot, ahead of rivals Liverpool, Manchester City and Aston Villa.

There are still nine games left for Spurs and defender Bassong is hopeful they will fend off their rivals to claim their first ever entry into the Champions League.

"I think we can achieve the Champions League," Bassong told Sky Sports News.

"It would be a good thing for us a I think we deserve to be in there and we are doing well.

"If we keep going like we are we can achieve it."

Bassong admits that in-form Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko could become a key player for them in the run-in.

"He could be the key, but any player could be the key," he said.
