'Bass' has lifted us - Brown

AFC Wimbledon goalkeeper Seb Brown has hailed the uplifting effect caretaker manager Simon Bassey has had on the squad.

Bassey, who was handed temporary charge at Kingsmeadow last week after Terry Brown was sacked following a pedestrian start to the Dons' second season in League Two, oversaw a 1-0 victory over Wycombe on Saturday.

And Brown insists the squad are positive about the future despite lying 20th in the table, with just seven points from eight matches.

"It was a tough week for us with what transpired after the Torquay match," Brown told the club's official website.

"It was a case of getting everyone's heads right for the match on Saturday and I think that is what 'Bass' did.

"That showed in our performance against Wycombe. Everyone gave everything that they had and we have a right to feel positive about the future."
