Barcelona have agreed a new date for a pre-season meeting with Lechia Gdansk after the original match was postponed.

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova's decision to step down due to ill health - the 44-year-old is receiving ongoing treatment for throat cancer - was made public on Friday and the weekend's friendly game with Polish side Lechia was subsequently called off.

But the clubs have now settled on July 30 as a revised date for the fixture, which will be played at its original venue - the PGA Arena in Gdansk.

A statement published on fcbarcelona.com read: "The club, coaching staff and players would like to express their satisfaction at a solution being found so quickly and thank the promoters for their professional attitude at all times, as well as the understanding shown by the fans of the terrible blow which Tito Vilanova's health-enforced standing down has meant for the club.

"The tickets bought for the previous date are to be valid for the match on July 30."

Barca president Sandro Rosell said on Friday night that the club expect to make an announcement on Vilanova's replacement in the coming days.
