Baggies: Star duo not for sale
Odemwingie, who was the club's leading scorer with 15 goals last season, and midfielder Mulumbu have been the subject of summer speculation linking them with a move away from The Hawthorns. Nigeria international Odemwingie was reported to be a target for Arsenal while Mulumbu was said to be attracting interest from Fiorentina. But Baggies technical director Dan Ashworth has stressed: "Peter and Youssouf are not for sale." Albion are currently in talks with Odemwingie over a new contract. His efforts last season played a major part in the club staying in the Premier League. Mulumbu put pen to paper on a new deal midway through last season which runs until the summer of 2013. He formed an effective midfield partnership with Paul Scharner under Roy Hodgson. West Brom defender Gabriel Tamas is a target for Lazio, who want to sign him on a season long loan. And goalkeeper Scott Carson is believed to be on the brink of a £2million move to Turkish outfit Bursaspor.
