Baggies eye New York defender

Albion recently ran the rule over DC United and United States international goalkeeper Bill Hamid and may pursue their interest in January. Now they want to cast an eye over Ream whose domestic season came to an end with their semi-final defeat in the MLS play-offs. Albion sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth said: "We have been in discussions about Tim spending a few days with us as we did with Bill Hamid. "New York got knocked out in their play-off semi-final to LA Galaxy only last week so their season has only just finished. I first saw Tim at the Emirates tournament in the summer and I quite liked him." Ashworth admitted the Baggies are interested in exploring the United States transfer market. He said: "It's a potential market for us. It's something we're in discussion with a few clubs about. The MLS and Jurgen Klinsmann (USA national manager) are quite keen for the players to get different experiences."
