Austria and Romania drew 0-0 Tuesday in an international friendly between two teams that have failed to qualify for the European Championship.

The draw left Austria, which beat co-host Ukraine in a Euro 2012 warm-up game Friday, unbeaten in three games this year, while Romania stretched its unbeaten streak to five matches.

Austria missed two clear chances in the opening 20 minutes as Paul Scharner's header and David Alaba's 20-meter shot were both saved by Romania goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu.

Gabriel Torje missed Romania's best chance in the closing minutes of the first half when he was left unmarked in the area, but 'keeper Christian Gratzei reacted quickly to block the ball.
