Former River Plate midfielder Ariel Ortega has joined Argentine club All Boys on a six-month loan, a move that comes a week after being told he was no longer needed.
No salary details were released, but reports say he would be paid about $275,000 during the upcoming Clausura season, which opens next month.
The 36-year-old Ortega joined River in 1991 and left the club several times to play abroad or with other Argentine clubs. The attacking midfielder also played in three World Cups with Argentina - 1994, 1998 and 2002.
