Lanus took the lead against Newell's Old Boys when a cross from Maximiliano Lugo gave Santiago Salcedo a simple header to open the scoring in the 15th minute. Mauricio Sperdutti equalized with a free kick into a top corner. Both teams finished with ten men.

The draw gave Newell's its first point of the season, while Lanus moved up to third in the table.

Arsenal's Luciano Leguizamon scored twice in the first half to help his side to a 2-1 triumph at bottom club Tigre. Leguizamon volleyed the first after the Tigre defense failed to deal with a long ball in the 11th minute and more poor defending gave the striker the chance to chip the ball over goalkeeper Daniel Islas for the second in the 16th. Denis Stracqualursi tapped in Tigre's consolation goal from close range in the 71st minute.

In the day's final match, San Lorenzo's Cristian Tula opened the scoring with a header from a corner in the 19th minute, but Godoy Cruz came back to take the lead with goals from David Ospina Ramirez either side of half time. Diego Rivero beat goalkeeper Nelson Ibanez at the near post for San Lorenzo's equalizer in the 78th.

San Lorenzo and Godoy Cruz have drawn both their opening matches.

On Sunday, it's Huracan vs. River Plate, All Boys vs. Velez Sarsfield, Estudiantes vs. Quilmes, and Olimpo vs. Gimnasia La Plata. On Monday, champion Argentinos Juniors travels to Independiente.
