Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce says he expects Australian Vince Grella to remain with the English Premier League club despite reports linking him with Galatasaray.
Reports in England suggested the Turkish club was ready to make another bid for the Socceroos midfielder, after an initial deal fell through before the World Cup.
But Allardyce said Sunday after his side's preseason Festival of Football 2-1 win over Sydney FC there had been no new contact from Galatasaray. Asked if Grella could remain with Rovers this season, the former Bolton manager said: ''Yes, I think so.''
Blackburn will play friendlies against Motherwell and Celtic before their Premier League season opener at home to Everton on Aug. 14.
