Alcaraz could escape Latics' grasp
The Latics announced that they had sealed a deal with Alcaraz prior to the World Cup, with the Club Brugge player expected to move to the DW Stadium on a Bosman free transfer. But now Alcaraz, who was very impressive for his country at the World Cup finals, has revealed that he has offers from Italy, Spain and Germany. The 27-year-old defender admitted that although he signed a pre-contract with Wigan he is now considering his options. "Yes, there is a prelimary agreement that we signed, but there is the possibility that we can realise other options," Alcaraz told Paraguayan sports radio station 780. "In fact at this point I don't know where I am going. Obviously, my performance at the World Cup has complicated things. "I want to do the best for me. There have been offers made, but for now I cannot talk about them as nothing is signed yet. "At the moment, all the teams that have showed an interest have a chance of signing me."
