Forward Juan Agudelo, who scored his second national team goal in a 1-1 tie against Argentina during the weekend, made his first start Tuesday night against Paraguay in an exhibition.

Agudelo was paired with Jozy Altidore, who scored three goals in his last game in Nashville.

Also starting for the first time was defender Timmy Chandler, who entered at the half with Agudelo on Saturday against Argentina.

Marcus Hahnemann got the start in goal for the first time since 2007 for Tim Howard, who was not in uniform. Defender Oguchi Onyewu was also given a rest.
