Agent: Babel favors Ajax switch
Liverpool revealed on Tuesday they had accepted the bid for the Dutchman just hours after Babel had indicated his desire for a loan return to Ajax - and claimed that deal could form part of Luis Suarez's potential transfer to Anfield.
And Babel's agent claims that moving to Hoffenheim would only appeal to the player if he is unable to secure a return to former club Ajax.
Winnie Haatrecht said in The Sun: "Hoffenheim will only be an option if Ryan isn't allowed to go on loan to Ajax or they do not want him."
Babel, 24, cost Liverpool in excess of £10million when he arrived from Ajax in 2007.
But he failed to convince both Rafael Benitez and then Roy Hodgson of his ability to cut it in the Barclays Premier League.
Now caretaker-manager Kenny Dalglish has decided he can do without the Dutchman, even though his side are only four points off the relegation zone and face fellow strugglers Wolves on Saturday.
