AFC, Qatar donate Asia Cup funds to flood victims

The Asian Football Confederation says it will donate more than $300,000 from the sale of tickets at the Asian Cup semifinals to flood victims in Asia.

The AFC and the Qatar Football Association said the money will be put into a disaster relief fund for victims in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Australia. All three countries have been hit by heavy flooding in recent months.

In the semifinals, Japan was play South Korea, while Uzbekistan faces Australia.
