The 20-year-old midfielder, currently on the books of Al Ain, had an impressive Olympic Games, his best performance coming against Uruguay in UAE's opening match during which he provided the assists for both of their goals.
Abdulrahman is delighted to have the chance of playing for City.
"Today I'll travel to Manchester for a training ..wish me good luck," he tweeted before adding that it is City he is on trial at.
Abdulrahman is rated as one of UAE's most promising young footballers.
