FOX Sports Unveils Match Assignments for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ Group Stage

World’s Greatest Sporting Event Begins July 20 with 19 of 48 Group Stage Matches on FOX

U.S. Women’s National Team’s Quest for Third Consecutive Title Kicks Off July 21 on FOX in Prime Time

SYDNEY – Ahead of the opening match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ on Thursday, July 20, FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the tournament, today unveils broadcaster match assignments for the 48-match group stage.

David Neal, Executive Producer of FIFA World Cup™ on FOX and Vice President of Production for FOX Sports, made today’s announcement as the network prepares to open this summer’s historic edition of the world’s greatest sporting event.

Esteemed play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera and USWNT FIFA Women’s World Cup™ veteran Aly Wagner anchor FOX Sports’ lead broadcast booth in their second consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cup™ as the network’s top announcer pairing. They will make their tournament debut on Thursday, July 20, alongside U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) Insider Jenny Taft, for the opening match between host country New Zealand and Norway at 3:00 AM ET on FOX.

The Dellacamera – Wagner – Taft trio will call and cover every USWNT match throughout the tournament, beginning Friday, July 21, when the USWNT open their historic quest on FOX in prime time vs. Vietnam. Live coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET.

The second match of the tournament between host country Australia and Republic of Ireland on Thursday, July 20, kicks off at 6:00 AM ET on FOX and features distinguished play-by-play announcer Jacqui Oatley pairing with match analyst and USWNT FIFA Women’s World Cup™ veteran Lori Lindsey. Renown play-by-play announcer John Strong joins match analyst and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ broadcast veteran Kyndra de St. Aubin on the call for the third match of the competition between Nigeria and Canada, starting at 10:30 PM ET on FOX.

Also on Friday, July 21, former England defender Warren Barton joins acclaimed play-by-play announcer Jenn Hildreth for their first call of the tournament when Philippines meets Switzerland at 1:00 AM ET on FS1, followed by celebrated commentator Kate Scott pairing with USWNT FIFA Women’s World Cup™ veteran Danielle Slaton on Spain vs. Costa Rica at 3:30 AM ET on FS1. Former referees Dr. Joe Machnik and Mark Clattenburg serve as FOX Sports’ dedicated FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ rules analysts.

FOX Sports will present exclusive studio coverage from brand new studios located on the Campbells Cove waterfront promenade in Sydney.
