Xavier players earn national, conference recognition

Two Xavier underclassmen are being noticed for their play this week.
ESPN's Andy Katz named sophomore guard Semaj Christon National Player of the Week. He averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two 40-minute performances.
Forward Jalen Reynolds was rewarded with the Big East's Rookie of the Week honor. He averaged 11.5 points and 12.5 rebound in the Musketeers' two wins. Against St. John's in New York City, Reynolds posted a double-double with career highs of 17 points and 16 rebounds.
