World Cup leader Prevc beats 16-year-old brother for win
ENGELBERG, Switzerland (AP) World Cup leader Peter Prevc of Slovenia beat his 16-year-old brother Domen to win a ski jump large hill event Saturday.
A remarkable podium was completed by third-place Noriaki Kasai of Japan, who at age 43 is older than the brothers' combined ages. Kasai took Olympic silver at the 1994 Lillehammer Games, five years before Domen Prevc was born.
Peter Prevc, a 23-year-old double medalist at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, leaped 139.5 and 134 meters to lead with 297.1 points.
Domen Prevc trailed by more than 13 points after jumping 133.5 and 134. Kasai's 131.5 and 134 jumps trailed the winner by 23 points.
Peter Prevc used his 100 points for the win to build a 105-point standings lead over Germany's Severin Freund.
Engelberg hosts another large hill event Sunday.
