With the Birds wins Breeders' Stakes

Up With the Birds won the $500,000 Breeders' Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack on Sunday, running 1 1/2 miles on the turf course in 2:28.69 in the final leg of the Canadian Triple Crown.

Up With the Birds, the Queen's Plate runner-up ridden by Eurico Rosa da Silva, beat River Seven by 2 3/4 lengths to give owner Sam-Son Farm its record sixth victory in the race. Pyrite Mountain was third in the 10-horse field.
