Wisconsin-Iowa postgame notes
Here are some notes and tidbits stemming from Wisconsin's 28-9 win at Iowa:
Wisconsin now leads the all-time series 43-42-2 with the Hawkeyes 24-16-1 at Iowa City.
Wisconsin has won its last seven games following a bye week, including twice this season.
The Badgers are now bowl eligible for a 12th consecutive season.
Wisconsin's streak of winning by 24 or more points ended at nine. But each of UW's last 12 wins have been by double digits.
James White became the first Wisconsin RB to have 100+ rushing yards at Iowa since 1998 (a streak of six games) and the first overall since 2007.
Iowa entered tied 19th in the nation in third-down conversions (49.18%) but converted just 4-of-18 (22.2%) against Wisconsin.
Iowa had allowed two rushing touchdowns this season (both to Ohio State) entering the game. White doubled that to four.
Jared Abbrederis has caught a pass in 36 consecutive games. The Wisconsin record is 38 games by Lee Evans.
Abbrederis passed Terrell Fletcher for 7th place on UW's all-time all-purpose yards list.
James White passed Alan Ameche for 9th place on UW's all-time rushing yards list.
White passed Anthony Davis for 5th place on UW's all-time touchdowns list.
White tied John Clay for 6th place on UW's all-time rushing touchdowns list.
This was the first time White was the lone 100-yard rusher in a game. The previous 13 times Wisconsin had at least one other 100-yard rusher.
This marked the first time White led Wisconsin in rushing since Oct. 20, 2012.
Melvin Gordon passed Brooks Bollinger for 17th place on UW's all-time rushing yards list.
Joel Stave passed Mike Kalasniki for 15th place on UW's all-time passing yards list.
Stave passed Jim Haluska (1952) for the fifth-most passing yards by a sophomore in UW history.
Stave has four straight games with at least two TD passes and six overall this season. He did it once in 2012.
Jacob Pedersen now has 17 touchdown receptions, breaking a tie for 7th place on UW's all-time list.
Marcus Trotter tied his career high with 9 tackles (he also had 9 last game against Illinois).
Redshirt senior Pat Muldoon had his first interception since he was a junior in high school.
