Grand National-winning jockey Ryan Mania will be released from the hospital following injuries from a spill the day after his memorable victory at Aintree.

Mania's agent said in a statement Tuesday the Scottish rider has a small fracture in his back as well as tissue and ligament damage. The fall happened at Hexham in northern England on Sunday.

Agent Bruce Jeffrey says Ryan ''feels fine'' and is ''walking about perfectly fine.'' Mania has spent the last two nights in a hospital in Newcastle.

He rode 66-1 shot Auroras Encore to victory in the world's toughest steeplechase race Saturday. A party is being held in his honor in his hometown of Galashiels on Tuesday.
