KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee still has hopes for a bowl game this season. Vanderbilt's chance for postseason play disappeared two weeks ago.

Still, the Commodores would feel pretty good about their season if they could get only the second win in 28 seasons over their most despised rival in Nashville on Saturday night.

Vanderbilt's only win since 1982 came against a struggling 2005 Tennessee squad that entered the game with only four wins.

This year's Tennessee team faces again faces Vandy having won only four games. Unlike the 2005 squad, the Vols come in with some momentum after averaging 51.5 points in victories over Memphis and Mississippi.

With a win over the Commodores and Kentucky on Nov. 27, Tennessee will become bowl eligible for a 20th time in 22 seasons.
