ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher announced Sunday that his club has recalled defenseman Marco Scandella from Houston of the AHL while subsequently reassigning young prospect Mathew Dumba to Red Deer of the Western Hockey League.
Scandella had tallied 12 points in 24 games with Houston this season. The 6-foot-3, 210 native of Montreal skated in 63 contests with Minnesota last season and collected 12 total points.
Scandella was drafted by Minnesota in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 6 with the Wild.
