The Minnesota Wild are churning the lineup in an effort to replace injured forwards Jason Zucker and Ryan Carter.

Minnesota recalled forward Stephane Veilleux from the Iowa Wild on Wednesday. The Wild reassigned forward Brett Sutter to Iowa of the American Hockey League in an earlier move.

Zucker was second on the team with 18 goals, but also a key member of the penalty-kill unit. Carter also played an important defensive role and was a penalty killer.

Veilleux, 33, is a veteran NHL forward. He's tallied 104 points and 346 penalty minutes in 499 career NHL games, getting his start with Minnesota after being drafted in the third round in 2001. Veilleux has played in five games with the Wild this season. Veilleux has 14 points in 43 games with Iowa.

Sutter was recalled Tuesday by the Wild after Zucker and Carter were injured in Monday's game. Sutter had two hits and skated 10 minutes, 31 seconds in Tuesday's overtime loss at Winnipeg.

In six games with Minnesota, Sutter has three assists, four penalty minutes and was a plus-1. He had seven goals, 11 assists and 27 penalty minutes in 45 games for Iowa.
