Wild recall Stephane Veilleux, reassign Erik Haula
The Wild made a pair of roster moves on Monday, recalling forward Stephane Veilleux from Iowa and reassigning forward Erik Haula.
General manager Chuck Fletcher announced the decisions, which come a day after Minnesota lost 4-1 on the road to the New York Rangers.
Veilleux, 32, has appeared in 10 games this season for the Wild, which drafted him in the third round in 2001. He tallied eight points in 20 games with Iowa and has collected 101 points and 323 penalty minutes in 470 NHL games over his career. Veilleux (6-foot-1, 200 pounds) ranks fifth in Wild history in hits with 407.
Haula (5-foot-11, 192 pounds) is a 22-year-old Finland native who recorded two assists in 10 games with Minnesota this year. He's accumulated 14 points in 20 games with Iowa.
