The Minnesota Wild recalled defenseman Nick Seeler on Sunday and reassigned defenseman Viktor Loov to the AHL.

Seeler, an Eden Prairie, Minn. native, was selected in the fifth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, and is expected to make his NHL debut against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night.

In 49 games with Iowa this season, Seeler has recorded 12 points and a team-leading 74 penalty minutes in 49 games. During his first professional season in 2016-17, he tallied five assists and led Iowa with 109 PIM in 57 games.

Loov was acquired by Minnesota on Feb. 8 from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for forwards Christoph Bertschy and Mario Lucia.

The Sweden native has totaled 17 points in 36 games with Binghamton of the AHL this season.
