Who's fired up about the perfect Carolina Panthers? NASCAR nation
It's a great time to be a fan of the NFL's Carolina Panthers.
With a dominant 38-0 victory at Charlotte, North Carolina's Bank of America Stadium on Sunday over the visiting Atlanta Falcons, the Panthers continued their march toward an improbable perfect season, and at 13-0 remained the NFL's only unbeaten team.
With the vast majority of NASCAR drivers residing in the metro-Charlotte and most of their respective teams also based nearby, it's not surprising that several NASCAR drivers (and their families) are pumped about the Panthers' success.
Turns out that a few drivers, plus our own Larry McReynolds from the FOX NASCAR on-air team, were even at Sunday's big game to support the hometown team, which has already locked up a bye for the first round of the NFL playoffs.
