We've Got the Fever!
What we have are two very good, but two very different teams.
Start with the Dodgers. They are the sexy, ultra talented, star-studded team, that's Hollywood all the way. You had early season drama with their manager's job status (he's pretty safe right now). Then you have the huge payroll, tipping the scales at $216 million this season. How about an x-factor, they have that in Yasiel Puig. Given the season outlook for USC and the Lakers, and LA is all about baseball right now.
Now for the Cardinals, they've been in the postseason ten times the past fourteen seasons, in the World Series three times since 2004, winning it in 2011. The Cards boast a workman-like roster, where marquee names are scares and so are high salaries ($116 million this season, 12th in baseball, $100 million lower than the Dodgers).
