Panthers (-7.5) cover against Vikings
One game into Week 14, WhatIfSports.com is off to a promising start. Arizona beat the Vikings 23-20 on Thursday night. Our prediction: Arizona 25 – Minnesota 21. We had the Viking covering 70.1 percent of the time and they did just that. Hopefully the positive momentum carries into the weekend with our Falcons vs. Panthers pick. We like Carolina to cover the seven and a half point spread, with the Panthers winning 84.4 percent of our simulations by an average score of 28-15.
Titans (+7.5) cover against Jets
Tennessee visit the Jets this week as a seven and a half point underdog. It’s been a long three-win season for the Titans but they are coming off a 42-39 victory over Jacksonville. While we don’t envision a win over the Jets, we think they’ll keep it close. In 501 simulations, New York beat Tennessee by an average score of 23-19, winning 59.6 percent of the time. The Titans covered the spread 62.7 percent of the time.
Redskins (+3) cover against Bears
Our NFL simulation engine is taking the Bears over Washington on Sunday, with Chicago winning 52.4 percent of simulations by an average score of 26-25. However, we like the Redskins to cover. Our simulations used a three and a half point spread and Washington covered 60.5 percent of the time.
