Watt acknowledges he has 'no idea' what's going on in offensive huddle

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:52 p.m. ET

Houston Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt has an unprecedented three offensive touchdowns this season, and five total with his two defensive scores factored in the mix.

While Watt is capable of doing many things, knowing what is going on in the huddle on the offensive side of the ball isn't one of them.

"I have no idea what they're saying in the huddle on offense," Watt told ESPN.com. "I swear to God. I have no clue what the play calls are or anything. I know my little gambit of plays. I know what I'm supposed to do on those."

Watt certainly had everyone fooled, as he seems to know exactly what he's doing hauling in touchdown passes better than most tight ends in the league.

Looking back the post-huddle, pre-snap footage of Watt's last touchdown against the Titans, he does seem a bit confused on where he should be in the formation. Luckily that didn't matter much with the end result being another six points.
