Watch: Joey Votto goes behind-the-back for spectacular play

BY foxsports • June 14, 2015

Usually, it's second baseman Brandon Phillips making the behind-the-back flip to get an out, but on Saturday night it was Joey Votto's turn.

On a slow roller to first base, Votto charged the ball hard and got the ball over to a covering Mike Leake with a nifty flip.

At first, the umpires called the runner safe saying Leake's foot had slipped off the first base bag as he made the catch. Then, after a challenge from Bryan Price, the umpires overturned the call and the runner was out.
