Watch Crawford teach everyone how not to slide into second

BY foxsports • February 27, 2014

Spring training is a good place for Major League Baseball players to work out a few kinks in their game and get ready for the season.

Well, it looks like Carl Crawford might want to spend some time working on his head-first slides into second base.

Because this isn't how it's supposed to be done:

There are a few embarrassing things about that attempt in Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks:

1. He landed on his face. That's not good.

2. He had to ask for someone to help him retrieve his helmet, which went flying after he landed on his face.

3. He had to return to first base because Yasiel Puig fouled off the pitch.
