Warren shines again but Suns fall
T.J. Warren scored 26 points but it wasn't enough for the Suns in an 86-77 loss to Minnesota in the Las Vegas Summer League.
Warren led all scorers and Elias Harris added 16 points while Miles Plumlee posted his second straight double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds (and three blocks).
Not counting Sunday's game that Warren left early with a cut near his eye, the Suns' first-round pick from last month is averaging 25.3 points on 59 percent shooting. He dominated the third quarter Wednesday, when he scored the Suns' first 12 points.
Dionte Christmas added 11 points off the bench for the Suns, who shot just 39 percent from the field, including 31 percent from 3-point range.
"We just go over matched up front and missed some shots." Suns coach Mike Longabardi said.
Zach LaVine led the Timberwolves with 20 points.
The Suns (2-2) will close out their summer league schedule Friday afternoon against a to-be-determined opponent.
