VIDEO: Lightning owner Jeff Vinik takes ALS ice bucket challenge

Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik participated in the ALS ice Bucket Challenge on Thursday afternoon.

Vinik received a pair of buckets of ice water from team president Steve Griggs and coach Jon Cooper.

''I'm thrilled to be taking the ALS ice bucket challenge,'' Vinik said. ''I couldn't be more pleased to do this and keep this process going for ALS research.''

Vinik challenged three people to take the plunge, including Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman.
