Vandy's Bobby Johnson Retires as Head Coach

Vanderbilt has stolen the attention from Tennessee in the Volunteer state today with several reports indicating Commodores head coach Bobby Johnson has resigned.

It is not known yet why Johnson suddenly resigned but some speculation includes health concerns.

Nashville radio station 104.5 FM was the first to report the news, which has since been confirmed by several media outlets. Johnson would have entered his ninth season with Commodores on Sept. 4.
