UW hockey team sweeps Alaska Anchorage

The University of Wisconsin hockey team extended its WCHA unbeaten streak to 10 games with a 2-1 win against Alaska Anchorage Saturday night at Kohl Center.
Wisconsin (11-8-5, 8-5-5 WCHA) completed a series sweep of the Seawolves (3-16-5, 1-15-4), having beaten them 5-2 Friday night.
Tyler Barnes opened the scoring for the Badgers at the 1:22 mark of the second period. It was the sixth goal for Barnes, the second on the weekend. Jefferson Dahl got his fourth goal of the season later in the period before Anchorage's Jordan Kwas made it 2-1 at the 19-minute mark of the second period.
Wisconsin goalie Landon Peterson improved to 5-2-2 with 21 saves.
