Urban Meyer says Fickell did not interview for Florida Atlantic job
After reports surfaced yesterday that Buckeyes defensive coordinator, Luke Fickell, had interviewed for the head coaching position at FAU, Urban Meyer has stated today that the reports aren't true.

According to Axelrod, Meyer said that Fickell did not interview and even added, "He better not have."
Clearly, in a season where his team is 9-0 Meyer does not want any outside distractions surfacing and causing his team to lose focus from the task at hand.
With Ohio State's second bye week of the season this weekend now is the perfect time for distractions to creep in.
Further along in the article Axelrod reports,
"The AD calls the head football coach. The assistant comes in and says, 'They have an interest in me, what would be the right time?"' Meyer said. "My answer is, 'Do not disrupt this team.'
"There's absolutely no interviewing going on during this time, No chance"
It is hard to believe Fickell would want to leave the position of being Urban Meyer's right hand man in Columbus for anything less than a top position at a BCS Automatic Qualifying conference.
But, at least for the time being, Meyer has any future interviewing nipped right in the bud.
