GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- North Dakota surged past Wisconsin, 5-3, Friday, in WCHA men's hockey action.

Three members of North Dakota's squad produced a pair of points, including Nick Mattson, Danny Kristo and Brock Nelson.

Wisconsin, conversely, was limited to just 17 total shots on goal in its loss. The Badgers' lone brightspot was Michael Mersch, who recorded two goals.

The visitors' Joel Rumpel rattled off 20 total saves, but it wasn't quite enough.
