ATLANTA (AP) -- North Carolina forward John Henson has injured his left wrist in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

The
ACC's defensive player of the year was hurt on drive to the basket in
Friday's quarterfinals, going down on a hard foul by Maryland's Ashton
Pankey. Henson flexed his hand repeatedly and went to the locker room
for treatment with 13:51 left in the first half.

Henson returned a short time later, his wrist heavily taped, and checked back into the game with 8:06 remaining.

He didn't last long. Less than a minute later, Henson left the game again and watched the rest of the half from the bench.

Henson is averaging 14.2 points and leading the No. 4 Tar Heels with 10.3 rebounds per game.
