Hurricanes running back Duke Johnson was named to the Doak Walker Award watch list, the PwC SMU Athletic forum announced Thursday.
Along with the Doak Walker Award (given to the top running back), Johnson, a sophomore, has also been named to the watch lists for the Paul Hornung Award and the Maxwell Award.
Johnson set a Miami freshman record with 947 rushing yards in 2012. He had 2,060 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns last season.
