TUCSON, Ariz. -- Arizona kicker John Bonano was named the Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday for his performance in the Wildcats' win over Oklahoma State. The award is the second for Bonano, who also was recognized in 2011 after UA's win over UCLA.

Bonano was perfect in the kicking game Saturday night and scored a career-best 15 points to help lead Arizona to a 59-38 upset of then-No. 18 Oklahoma State.

Bonano converted all three of his field-goal attempts in the game, all of which came in a span of 6:14 from the end of the first quarter to the early portion of the second quarter. After hitting from 22 yards and 46 yards (one yard shy of a career long), Bonano’s 24-yarder with 11:46 to play in the second quarter gave the Wildcats a 16-14 lead, one they never relinquished. Bonano was also 5 for 5 on extra-point attempts.

Bonano also kicked off 11 times, totaling four touchbacks. The other seven kicks were returned for an average of just 20 yards, giving the Cowboys an average starting field position at their own 24-yard line. The Wildcats' average starting field position was their own 36.
