Two Longhorns suspended for BYU game
Apparently not every Longhorn has gotten on board with Charlie Strong's new high-discipline regime.
The Texas coach suspended senior offensive tackle Desmond Harrison and junior offensive tackle Kennedy Estelle for Saturday's game against BYU.
Multiple media reports claimed the duo had been dismissed from the team, but Texas announced the suspensions late Wednesday night.
Estelle is the team's most experienced offensive lineman with nine starts after center Dom Espinosa suffered a fractured right ankle in Saturday's win over North Texas. Espinosa will miss the remainder of the season.
Estelle started Saturday's game and Harrison had recently been reinstated after being suspended for the Longhorns' opener. Estelle's status with the team was under review in July when Strong announced five player dismissals and three suspensions, and Estelle remained a member of the team.
