Twitter reacts to Chargers-Raiders stadium plans

In what was a completely unforseen turn of events, the San Diego Chargers took one step closer to packing their bags and heading north on I-5 by revealing plans to build a $1.7 billion joint stadium in Los Angeles with the longtime AFC West rival Oakland Raiders.

It shouldn't have shocked many to hear that Dean Spanos and the rest of his front office were looking for a realistic way out of San Diego. They'd been trying to find a way to keep their roots in San Diego for the better part of the last 14 years. But after almost a decade and a half of failed attempts at convincing the citizens of America's Finest City to fork over extra taxpayer dollars to keep their beloved Bolts in town, it was time to make something happen. They needed to protect their assets when they knew Mayor Kevin Faulconer and his new stadium task force would struggle in doing so.

Shocking or not, some weren't too pleased with Thursday night's news.

"I think what we saw last night speaks volumes about the true intentions and what has been happening the last couple weeks, all the back and forth and the animosity," Faulconer said Friday morning at a brief news conference

"To see the fact that the Chargers, over the last several months, saying they were monitoring things in L.A., they were keeping an eye on L.A. Well, that wasn't open and upfront with San Diegans. They were actively working to go to L.A. with the Raiders"

To nobody's surprise, Faulconer wasn't the only one upset. Take a look at what some of Twitter's finest had to say:
