Twins offense picking up steam
The Minnesota Twins' offense got off to a rough start this season, averaging just 1.6 runs over the first nine games, all losses.
But since then, Minnesota has been one of the hottest teams in all of Major League Baseball.
Here's how the Twins offense has been producing in several offensive categories as well as their MLB rank since April 15:
Runs/game: 5.57, 4th
Batting average: .311, 2nd (Texas, .317 is No. 1)
On-base percentage: .388, 1st
Slugging percentage: .533, 2nd (Mets, .631)
Home runs: 11, tied for 2nd (Mets, 19)
Perhaps the hottest hitter of them all has been Eduardo Nunez.
