MINNEAPOLIS -- Twins fans no longer have to wait until game time to savor some of the fare Target Field's concession stands have to offer.

Hoping to join a recent Twin Cities cuisine fad, the team debuts its "Taste of Target Field" food truck at 11 a.m. Monday at 8th street and Marquette Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. The truck will offer a variety of menu options that could previously be consumed only within the Twins' pristine home confines.

"Since opening Target Field in 2010, the Twins and our partners Delaware North Sportservice have worked hard to ensure the food and beverage offerings at the ballpark are among the best in baseball," team president Dave St. Peter said in a statement. "With that mission in mind, the Taste of Target Field food truck is aimed at expanding the reach of those signature menu items across Twins Territory."

Menu highlights include Kramarczuk's sausages, nachos, Schweigert hot dogs, barbeque brisket sandwichs and cheese curds. Team officials also plan to broadcast Twins games from the truck's audio and video system.

Such roving cafés have become commonplace around downtown Minneapolis. There is even a yearly food truck fair that has taken hold.

"We're excited to jump into the wildly popular food truck market here in the Twin Cities," said Pete Spike, general manager of Delaware North Sportservice at Target Field. "We're now able to bring our delicious ballpark fare out into the community for everyone to taste and experience."
