Truex Jr. crew chief Cole Pearn is so awesomely Canadian
With Martin Truex Jr.'s win at Pocono Raceway, Cole Pearn became the first Canadian to win a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race as a crew chief.
Pearn participated in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" Q&A session on Wednesday and revealed just how awesomely Canadian he really is.
He had this to say when responding to the question "What's the most 'Canadian' thing you do or bring to the NASCAR garage?"
"I still talk in Celsius. I don't know if that's Canadian or just the rest of the world. I still say 'eh' every once in a while. I still bring a lot of that to the garage."
He also gave his opinion on the best Canadian track to hold an international NASCAR race.
"I think Montreal or Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. Either one would be good. Montreal is so close to a downtown market. It would be a huge home run for the Cup Series. Would love to see that happen.
Not surprisingly, Pearn also loves hockey and gave some insight into what the Toronto Maple Leafs should do in Friday's NHL draft.
"I hope they get Dillon Strum, but I think Arizona will take him. I would go with Mitch Marne from my hometown London Knights."
