Tour de France's Stage 3 will finish near London's Buckingham Palace
CAMBRIDGE, England -- Italy's Vincenzo Nibali is king of the pack as the Tour de France riders have set off from the university town of Cambridge toward a London finish near Buckingham Palace for Stage 3.
A stage victory could be in store for a breakaway rider or sprint star at the end of the flat 155-kilometer (96-mile) ride Monday that takes riders past Big Ben and Westminster Abbey to the finish on The Mall in London.
Astana team riders will be protecting the yellow-clad Nibali as if he were a queen bee a day after he led a breakaway pack to strip Germany's Marcel Kittel of the leader's shirt.
Stage 3 culminates the English sojourn of the Tour this year. The race crosses the English Channel into France on Tuesday.
