Tony Romo feels 'sore' after Cowboys' win

LONDON -- Quarterback Tony Romo played in the 11th International Series game with the Jacksonville Jaguars with two transverse process fractures in his back.

After playing nearly 53 minutes of live action in 13 days, how does the 34-year-old quarterback -- who has had two back surgeries the past two years -- feel?

"I think just sore," Romo said.

"Just any time anybody's had anything broken before, knows it's uncomfortable at times and things like that, but you play football, you go play."

Romo went 20/27 for 246 yards and three touchdowns, compiling a 138.8 passer rating. He took only one sack the entire game, which was midway through the fourth quarter when the score was already leading 31-7.

"Yeah, he did fine," head coach Jason Garrett said during his postgame press conference.

"He seemed fine. Again, I thought he played well in the game. Didn't look like he had any physical restrictions. Moved around in the pocket, some subtle pocket movements to allow things to develop, which I thought were important. He really looked like himself."

Romo did take a shot of Toradol in a pill form before the game, but he wore the same amount of padding that he normally wears. Romo also wasn't gun-shy, or afraid of getting hit. The three-time Pro Bowler stayed calm in the pocket.

Said Romo: "I just went through the progressions and took what they gave you, and hit the spots, and just happened to do some good things sometimes."

This was the first time since 2011 that Romo was pulled from a game due to the Cowboys having such a large margin of victory. In the five games since 2011, Romo has been taken out of the game due to injury. With a bye week impending, Romo and the Cowboys will take the opportunity to rest and evaluate.
