Time heals all: Yankees holding Alex Rodriguez Bat Day in 2016

From a one-year suspension for PED use to having your own Bat Day is quite a turnaround.

The Alex Rodriguez image rehabilitation hit another high note on Thursday when the Yankees released their 2016 promotional schedule.

On Saturday, May 14, all fans 14 and under will get a free Alex Rodriguez replica bat.

It's hard to image this ever would've been possible while the team openly fought with A-Rod in 2013 (Remember general manager Brian Cashman saying "Alex should just shut the f--- up"?) and Major League Baseball suspended him for the entire 2014 season (after initially trying to suspend him for 211 games).

But A-Rod came back to hit 33 home runs and drive in 86 in 2015. That's all that was need to win back the fans and the front office.
